The business describes itself as drawing on island traditions where kava is shared in community and never rushed, and that phrase is doing real work. This isn't a coffee counter designed to get you in and out in four minutes. It's a lounge designed to hold you.
A few doors down at 1669 Market Street, The Cheese Course opened as a European-style cheese shop carrying more than 150 artisanal cheeses sourced from dairy farms around the world, with daily samples and monthly wine tastings built into the business model. You don't stop into a cheese shop that runs a wine-tasting calendar. You linger in one.
Then there's the French cafe wave. Eclair Affaire opened as a family-run cafe from owners Sofia and Georgios, bringing French-inspired pastries and savory bites into a breakfast-and-brunch niche the town center hadn't really had before. And according to reporting from the Miami New Times, Café Bastille is on its way to 1660 Market Street, which will mark the brand's fourth South Florida location and its second in Broward County after its Fort Lauderdale cafe. As of that reporting, no opening date had been set.
La Condesa Mexican Restaurant is listed as coming soon at 1800 Bell Tower Lane, adding to the mix of sit-down dining options at the town center.
A Focus on Places to Spend Time
Among the businesses already open, several offer reasons to linger: TreaHouse describes kava as a shared, unhurried experience, The Cheese Course hosts monthly tastings, and Eclair Affaire brings French-inspired pastries and savory bites to the town center. Together, they offer options for spending time over drinks, tastings, or a meal.
Some of the businesses that occupied these same kinds of spaces a decade ago included wireless phone repair, a bank branch, and a supplement store. The town center's current mix also includes businesses centered on dining and spending time.
Longstanding Town Center Landmarks
Tarantella Ristorana & Pizzeria has anchored the food scene with a brick oven, house-made pasta, and outdoor seating. DelVecchios has been a landmark since 2000 and has been voted best pizza in the city of Weston nine years running; it offers both inside and outside seating.
That's worth knowing if you've lived here long enough to take these two for granted. Both remain familiar fixtures in Weston Town Center.
Everyday Services Alongside New Arrivals
None of this means the town center has abandoned function. GRIT, the bike lab at 1797 Bell Tower Lane, describes itself as home base for Weston's cycling community, running weekly group rides alongside its repair and fitting services. Ike's Barber Shop, at 1690 Market Street, has been Weston's first and original barber shop for more than a decade and has stayed involved in supporting the community's kids' sports programs. Banking, wireless repair, and health services still occupy their corners too.
Alongside newer dining and other places to spend time, banking, wireless repair, health services, and other practical businesses remain part of the town center's mix.
What's Coming Next
